Cough


Cough is a sudden and repetitively occurring defense reflex that helps to clear the large breathing passages from excessive secretions, irritants, foreign particles and various microbes. There are three phases in cough reflex .they are inhalation, exhalation against a closed glottis. Severe coughing indicates the presence of the disease. Many virus and bacteria gets benefited by causing there host to cough which helps to spread the disease to new host. Coughing is acute when it presents less than a weak. Cough is sub acute when it present between three to eight weeks. If it is chronic then it last for more than eight weeks.
